FAQs: Everything You Need to Know

Are you diving into the design world and exploring the possibility of mockups? You might have questions. In this post, we’ll answer some frequently asked questions.

What are mockups and why use them?

A mockup is a visual tool essential in the design world, used to showcase your design draft or final version. It is the bridge between concept and realization, promoting smoother communication and allowing you to put your work into the proper spotlight. Mockups bring a design concept to life. What are PSD and video mockups?

PSD mockups are Adobe Photoshop files that allow you to insert your designs through the embedded Smart Objects. Video mockups, on the other hand, are precomposed AEP (Adobe After Effects) files that allow you to showcase your creations in an even more dynamic way. You can insert your design within the embedded precomposition.

How do I use your mockups?

Using our mockups is easy! Simply purchase the mockup you like, download the file, and follow these short tutorials.

PSD Mockups:
  1. Open the mockup in Adobe Photoshop.
  2. Double-click the Smart Objects thumbnail in the Layers-Panel named “YourDesignHere.”
  3. Place your design in the newly opened window showing our design.
  4. Save and close the window.
  5. Adjust the opacity of the layer or folder named “Shading” and other features to your liking.

Video Mockups:
  1. Open the mockup in Adobe After Effects.
  2. Add your video or image to the “YourDesignHere” composition.
  3. Return to the mockup composition and set the timeline to the length of your video. Optionally adjust the opacity of the shading composition in the timeline to your liking.

Are your mockups customizable?

Yes, but it depends on the mockup. Please check the editing options on the product page before making a purchase. Depending on the specific mockup, you can adjust colors and backgrounds.

What is an Image License?

An image license is a legal agreement between the creator (us) and the user (you) that outlines how you can use our images. It defines the terms and conditions for using the image, including where, when, and how it can be used.
We provide three types of licenses: Standard, Commercial, and Individual. Generally, the standard license is suitable for organic use, while any paid content/use requires a commercial license. For example, you would need a commercial license if you want to use our content for Instagram ads, boost a post, or engage in a paid partnership. For additional details, please refer to our license terms.
